COVID-19 Update – Mosaic Salon Re-opening Safety Procedures

Welcome back Mosaic Salon clients! Effective June 19th, 2020, we are re-opening!
We are taking your safety and that of our staff very seriously. Please see the following new safety and sanitation initiatives that we are implementing.

  • Social Distancing- We are splitting our stylists’ schedules into shifts that reduce the number of people in the salon at one time. Please check with your stylist as their days and times in the salon may have changed. The salon front door will be locked at all times. We will ask that you wait in your car until your service provider alerts you by text or call that they are ready. At that time, your stylist will meet you at the door.
  • Contact tracing- sign-in upon arrival is required. Per Multnomah County requirements, Mosaic Salon will be holding your sign-in form for 60 days. We will notify you if there has been a potential COVID-19 exposure and, at that time, your information may be shared with the Multnomah County contact tracing officialsAfter 60 days, your sign-in form will be destroyed.
  • Heath Screening Questions- Your service provider will be contacting you before your appointment to ask you 4 Health Screening questions. This is required by the Oregon Health Authority.
  • Masks- All our service providers will be required to wear masks. We require that you wear a mask to your appointment, and we ask that you wear one that secures behind the ears.
  • Touchless Greetings & Goodbyes- We will not be shaking hands or hugging at this time.
  • Limited Guests and Items- We ask that you arrive at the time of your appointment and no earlier. Please limit any belongings that you bring, only the essentials. Leave extra jackets, backpacks, bags at home. Please do not bring any extra guests with you and do not bring children to your appointment. If anyone is traveling with you that also has an appointment, we ask that they wait in the car (if they are of age and ability to do so) until the time of their appointment.
  • Upon arrival- please wash your hands. All guests will be required to sign-in on the iPad at the desk. If you change into a robe, you will see large paper bags to place your clothing, jackets and personal items in. For those not changing into a robe please grab a bag and place your purse and all personal items inside. Bring this bag to your stylist’s workstation when you start your appointment.
  • Illness- If you have been ill or have been around anyone ill, please wait 14 days before scheduling your appointment.
  • Considerations before your appointment- We will continue to accept our regular forms of payment, this includes the use of Square for debit and credit cards, cash or checks. We offer a clean stylus for you to use if needed. Please consider using Apple Pay or Venmo at your appointment to avoid touching screens during payment but only if these forms are convenient for you.

We ask for your patience and understanding during this time as we are working diligently to be both accommodating and conscientious of your needs. We are incorporating extensive new and improved sanitation practices into every aspect of our operation, including the requirement of all our service provider’s completion of a Barbicide Certification course.

Thank you so very much for your kindness and support during this difficult time in history. We look forward to seeing you in the salon soon!

~Your friends at Mosaic Salon
